Heartbeaking true story...Father raises money for son, does so illegally, gets caught..
and immediately pleads guilty.. Yes I did this ..the father said..
Most of the country does not know about this. The son did not know his father was trying to help him in an illegal way...but, the father wanted to help his son. So he got caught, pleaded guilty and I guess he is in jail right now....
and no, this is real and happened. I did not make this up... I found out about this by accident. I was checking one of my email accounts, and Dr Ami Bera from the Sacramento area in California who is a congressman, was asking for money for the next election as they often do. He is a democrat and has an interesting history. I know very little about him, other than he won a close election, and I sent some money because he had a good chance of beating a puke ...
..So, I thought I would search to see if he won the last election. I really didn't know..And I find this story about how his father raised money for him, and asked his friends to donate to the campaign fund, and he would refund their money.. So, friends of the father sent in money in their own name, and the father reimbursed the friends..with his own money..for the campaign, and consequently, the father donated more money then was legal to do. I guess that is what happened, but..the father pleaded guilty when caught, and admitted he tried to help his son in this way. ....
Think about it,.. Dad pays back money to friends so he can help his son win an election...more money than is legal.... Father helping son. ..No contributions from Russia, ...no back door deals..for this business or that stock., No bridge closings , ..No deep investigations that went on for years....Father got caught, and pleaded guilty..I guess he is in jail right now..and.....the son, did not know dad was doing this to help him..Yes, it is true,.... Dr Ami Bera..from the Sacramento area..and his father wanted to help him....Oh. and the .father and son are Democrats....and the father admitted he was trying to help his oldest son..You know, that is us, we admit the truth, if we do something illegal, we admit the guilt and the mistake, and accept the truth..that is us.
It ain't pretty, but we live with the truth. and..this 83 year old father is in jail..for doing something illegal, that republicans would fight for years..He wanted to help his son win an election to congress..I just found out about this about an hour ago.. Most of us in this country do not know this story about the father helping his son win an election...and I am sharing this with you. Yes, this happened, and it is real.. I doubt the rest of the country knows this story...I didn't. I live in the mid west... Never heard about Dr. Bera's father..oh, I am not trying to put down or hurt anyone with this post. I am sharing this with you... that is what this is about.

In the OP, the father gets caught raising money for his son, yes illegally but when caught..admits it and accepts punishment. Yes, I did it. In the slammer for a year..no one is hurt, he hasn't assaulted anyone. He hasn't cheated anyone, hasn't hurt anyone.......In the scope of things ...very minor crime...yet, one year in the slammer...and..........................................................................................
the other guy colludes with Russia, stealing, fraud, assault ..etc. and....he is in WH...
