Republicans are slow-walking any investigations.

We cannot count on anything getting done unless Democrats can take back the House or Senate next year. Any information garnered will be like pulling teeth.

We need to brace ourselves for the long haul and be very, very patient. They are doing their best to hide the truth but the truth will eventually prevail.

The deeper the secrets, the longer it will take to uncover. Democrats will get to the bottom of this but it is going to take a while.

Be patient.

until they get what they want from 45. Once they decide he's too much of a liability, they'll let the investigations proceed. (Obviously Pence will sign any GOP legislation, but 45 is so easy to manipulate.) They'll be sure to keep Pence as clean as possible, though.

Which suggests that they're catastrophically over-confident, or that they know that the results will favor them, perhaps through means that might be compromised by an open, honest investigation of election tampering?

Democrats had a congressional majority during Watergate investigations. There is no Russia/Republican Collusion investigation because Republicans control both chambers. The term "slow-walking" suggests movement or progress.

Democratic leadership seems powerless, but if the roles were reversed, Republicans would at least be leaking evidence of collusion.

The Republicans will squawk that this is a partisan witch hunt.

Sad state of affairs in 21st century American politics, that the lockstep Republicans can make such an assertion and their so-called patriotic constituents lap it all up.
