... "I loved my previous life, I loved my previous life. I had so many things going," Trump told Reuters. "I actually, this is more work than my previous life. I thought it would be easier."
Then, later: "I do miss my old life. This -- I like to work. But this is actually more work."
... all presidents express .. some level of longing for the life they left behind or the life they will return to. But that usually happens after, say, seven or eight years in the White House. Not after 99 days ...
Trump's old life was .. easier ... He starred in a reality TV show ... Now ... He has to confront problems .. in which he can't just .. make a decision and move on ...

(54,436 posts)Pence is what the Republicans wanted all along, but never could have elected. I'll bet Republican leaders and financiers are more anxious for Trump to resign than we are, as long as Pence sticks around to take over, and provide the obedient stooge they wanted all along.

(54,436 posts)Ford, while not the brightest star in the constellation, was a genuinely nice guy, who had his heart in the right place (just not his head). Pence is downright evil, and will look to accelerate Trump's destructive inclinations, only with much more skill and personal knowledge of how Congress works. I'm quite sure Pence is beatable. It's the damage he'll do in the meantime that worries me.
