Who was our last openly, gleeful, unapologetically racist President?

This "Pocahontas" shit is getting old.

I'm trying to think of another President who got away with these racist dog whistles, but for the life of me, I can't.

I'm not talking about Presidents who said racist crap that was revealed years later in biographies.

I'm talking about any President who is doing what Trump is doing right now, in office.

with his comments about welfare queens driving Cadillacs. Even that's not as direct as calling Mexicans rapists or bad hombres.

by which he meant single Black mothers.

Nixon's "law and order" campaign also had pretty serious racist undertones.

And Woodrow Wilson was pretty much openly racist--he did, after all, have a screening of "Birth of a Nation" at the White House and praised the film's portrayal of American "history"--i.e., the glorification of the Klan.

But Trump is definitely out there, in terms of any president of the past quarter to half century.

In fact, he chased many Blacks out of the civil service system. He was also openly hateful and believed the human race should not mix with itself. He is one of my least favorite POTUS of all time.

At least not in the eyes of almost HALF of this country who think he is doing a GREAT job.

Videos of old immigrant women being dragged out of their homes and being thrown out of the country is what half of the country LIVES for.

... There are many more incidences of open racist, expressions of intolerance and virulent hatred since he slithered into the White House. Truly Trump infests the office much than occupy it. He alarms and disgusts me greatly.

But, I think he was able to redeem himself once he became President, with the laws he was able to get passed. Unfortunately, the MIC had a war in planning stage and Vietnam tarnished his reputation a lot. Just my opinion.
