Republicans dig thru all the bullshit...

...with both hands, they are quickly getting to the bottom of the pile.

But, so far, there is no pony.

Yet, they do not lose faith. They bet on Mr Trump and they cannot afford to give up on him. At least, not yet.

Yes, he has been the most inept and unpopular president in our lifetimes. But that doesn't matter to his supporters. They invested everything they had in Donald Trump. Their trust, their integrity, their hopes, their dreams, their money, and their votes went to the Cheeto.

They are in deep denial and nobody knows when they will regain their senses. They are in free fall and so far, so good.

They cannot accept the truth. They were used. They were lied to. They were gullible. They bought the bullshit.

Now, their only option is to keep digging. There must be a pony down there somewhere?

Clearly, this incompetent crew aren't conservative enough to love Murica, or they wouldn't have committed treason. Trump will be gone and Cruz will be their next nominee mark my words.

They're quite content being told that the liberals do not want for them to ever have a pony, and that's enough to piss them off and forget to dig.

5. my grandfather once promised me a pony.

But it never happened. But he was still my grandpa, so what was I supposed to do? I suppose my faith in him was a little shaken, though, after that.

The way the conservative mind works is like this: the people who know how to make money are winners, and when they succeed, we all do, because that is the American way. Each of us has the same chance to be a winner, so we all need to support the system that helped them, because some day that could be us. Social Darwinism. Oh yes and "trickle down" actually does work!

They may eventually give up on Donnie, but not that value--that of worshipping capitalism. They don't think Liberals have anything they want. Liberals only exist to take away their money and give it to undeserving losers. The more far right they are, the more selfish they are on this front.

They usually pay no attention whatever to politics. Then once every four years, they perk up a little interest and vote on the usual wedge issues--you know, anti-abortion and anti-gay, pro-military, or whatever. Then they once again forget all about it, even if their party loses.

And each of them gets one vote, just like I get one vote!

They effectively get many more votes to your one vote.

So their votes don't do anything except add to the popular vote.

Why would you dig through bullshit and expect to find a pony?

On second thought, that's probably an apt description of the mindset of Trump loyalists.
