As your guidance counselor, have you ever stopped to consider that this whole "running the government" thing isn't for you? You've been in power exactly 100 days now. And it's been quite the cause for concern. In short, you're putting half the world at risk of nuclear war for nothing more than petty politics. You say you don't want celebrities being involved in politics. Your president is a celebrity! The only experience he's had is being the president of a TV show. And you want to run a has-been musician and a lunatic gun nut musician as senators. Guess what? They're celebrities. But that's beside the point. You should ask yourselves some important questions if we are to proceed.
1. Are you in it for the people? No. You are clearly not. You're willing to deny 1/2 the population of this country health care because your billionaire masters told you to, and are quietly paying you under the table.
2. Are you in it for the greater good of the United States? No. You are clearly not. You're busy eroding freedoms including freedom of speech and freedom of the press to favor ushering in a new era of a fascist dictatorship not seen since the days of Hitler and Stalin.
3. Are you in it for the military? No. You are clearly not. You want to expand it to a height not seen since World War II, mainly for photo opportunities. You're willing to send the military to die for you in unnecessary wars. And now those unnecessary wars are about to go nuclear, and you would put half the country at risk - that includes California, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska. And it could go international because the fallout would reach British Columbia - which is part of Canada. and those risks will last CENTURIES. Not just days or weeks. CENTURIES.
4. Are you in it to protect the Constitution of the United States? No. You are clearly not. The 1st amendment of the Constitution guarantees freedom of the press, freedom of speech, and freedom of religion for ALL AMERICAN CITIZENS. And this is completely non negotiable. Trump has attacked freedom of the press every day since he has been inaugurated. The GOP has been attacking freedom of speech by going after the perceived liberal bias of universities. And Trump's Muslim travel ban and Mexican deportations clearly violate the 1st amendment's guarantee of freedom of religion *AND* freedom of speech.
5. Are you in it for the economy? No. You are clearly not. You attacked Obama for spending $3 million to travel to Hawaii. Trump has spent that just on going to his golf course. In one week. He could spend 15x more than Obama's entire travel budget in the entire first year he's in office. And you don't care. He spends $35,000 on golf cart rentals, and you don't care.
6. Are you in it for the greater good of America's senior citizens? No. You are clearly not. You are ready to deny 1/2 or all seniors retirement benefits, as well as health care.
7. Are you in it to expand international relations? No. You are clearly not. Enacting a Muslim ban, which illegal as defined by the constitution's guarantee of freedom of religion, is not going to win friends. As well as embarrassing our allies, and enacting illegal deportations, that is not going to win you any friends or attract tourists - a vital part of the United States' economy.
8. Are you in it for yourselves or your constituents? No. You are clearly not. Your poll numbers indicate that. And Trump's approval rating in the first 100 days are the worst approval rating since Watergate.
So what are you in it for? Obviously nothing. Except to protect... yourselves, or your donors. So maybe it's time you considered a career change. What that is, is entirely up to you. I know this is not news you want to hear. Career changes can take a decade or more to complete. But in the meantime you can take up a hobby. Play a sport, or engage in an online activity. Play hockey - hockey is a sport where you can beat the shit out of your opponent and then afterward you all grab a beer. Or maybe take up arts and crafts - although that might not be for you either. But either way, running the country isn't for you. And the sooner you realize this, the sooner you will be able to make the career change you want. Glad we had this talk.

(47 posts)Those are states that his supporters would cheer for being nuked . That's why he has absolutely no qualms about thermonuclear war. Because his voters in Bumblefuck, Kansas don't need to face the consequences. And that for one is part of the "globalism" pushback. Of course they don't want to interact with other countries. It doesn't directly affect them in the slightest and strangers are scary.
