(4,407 posts)Geez I just think the appearance is bad, but apparently the slightest criticism of Obama and the critics are racist russians.
Such mature analysis... Thanks.

A woman and a black man get speaking fees and suddenly it's cause for concern.
The math is not advanced calculus. Damn right it's racism and sexism at play!

(4,407 posts)Do with race or sex. And yes, I'm hoping we start moving harder to the left because wealth disparity is turning this country into a third-world nation.
But then again, maybe this ia another thing that will help mobilize the "harder" left and they'll come for the primaries...

(10,173 posts)In fact I think it's great.
I think it's fantastic when wealthy liberals or popular liberals speak to Wall St and tell them to do better.
The assumption that it is inherently bad to accept money for your talents or reputation is offensive. The assumption that speaking to them is somehow him bending over for them is ridiculous. Why shouldn't Obama share his wisdom with Wall St, because of petty concerns among the hard left and hard right? No matter how you look at it, the whole dust up is ridiculous.

(53,847 posts)and Why he accepted that firms invitation to speak at a healthcare conference btw, one of Obama's pet issues.
IMO Sanders and Warren both owe Obama an apology for their knee-jerk reactions.
Has Obama over 8 years earned some trust in his judgement, especially from us progressives? He has donated hundreds of thousands to charity and he may well donate some or all of this money.
Whatever private citizen Obama does however, it's none of our business.

(10,173 posts)Just read the article, I wouldn't qualify it as "Russian propaganda".
But I'm sure RT will find someway to turn this into a headline.
