One of my FB "friends" who posts really ignorant stuff

posted this gem today, on July 4, as fireworks are going overhead:

Graphic: stars and stripes in the background, Barack Obama in the foreground

Caption: I hate everything he represents, Re-post if you agree!

Duh! Damn? Really? You hate the United States of America? I couldn't have painted a better description of ironic, moronic, and clueless in so few short words as she just did by posting that crap...doesn't even dignify a response.

This is the kind of hatred fomented by Fox News and the squealing static of AM radio.

In English and hopefully in words in an order that forms a logical sentence.

Then you can have some real fun.

this beautiful country is divided and I blame FoxNews. We don't have to worry about another country invading us. We are doing a good job ourselves. The fireworks didn't seem the same this year. Anyone else feel that way? Or is it just me?

be there for their citizens. All I know something has changed. I always liked to watch 4th of July on PBS. Always gave me a warm feeling inside. This last one didn't give me the tears like it usually done.

I went to our local Fourth of July festivities and I hated seeing all of the political people there - on both sides. I just wanted to see a little fireworks and a have a little celebration of our country. Instead all I got was bombarded by Allen West's people and Jesus freaks trying to change me. I like the religion I am right now!!

people hocking their wares. I guess I live in that Pollyanna world. It just isn't the same. Of course nothing better then being on a military base with your friends and families enjoying a great time. I miss that since my husband has retired for the service. Maybe that is what is my problem. I dunno. This country is scaring me to death. I am so worried if Obama wins relection there will be fighting in the streets. That is how much hate there is out there. Yet I pray he wins again.

And just say that you're surprised that your friend in turn hates America.

But, chin up, truth always finds a way. I hope.

You could do a lot of people a wonderful service by sharing the changes you've seen in your lifetime, as well as telling how and why you changed your views as you grew. I know there's a Smithsonian program to record individual histories somewhere, but i can't find t at the moment.

using your last paragraph, substituting "you" for "she," and "hardly even dignifies a response" for "doesn't even dignify a response."

She sounds pretty stupid.

Sorry, but neither side has the monopoly on this:

This is one reason why politics, in general, gets really depressing sometimes.
