Blackwell Re-Elected to Republican National Committee Post

Morton Blackwell of Arlington has been re-elected as a Virginia representative to the Republican National Committee, a post he has held since 1988.

Blackwell easily won re-election at the Republican Party of Virginia’s annual convention.

Blackwell is the president and founder of the Leadership Institute, a non-partisan educational foundation that has trained more than 100,000 young people, mostly conservatives, for careers in politics, government and media.

Blackwell was the youngest delegate pledged to Barry Goldwater at the 1964 Republican National Convention. He has been a member of the Arlington County Republican Committee since 1972. He also is a member of the Republican Party of Virginia’s State Central Committee.
