Stating Regret, Clinton Signs Bill That Kills Supercollider

A woot out to American meritocracy. Of course despite cutting the budget the Dems would lose the House to the Republican revolution anyways. The more things change...

Over and over again we heard about how the contractors to build this Texas travesty were screwing the American taxpayer. The Democrats did the right thing. It was "free-to-screw-us" enterprise that failed America this time.

nor Democrats screw up. As was pointed out at the time, a time when the Democratic Party was instituting the DLC republican-lite strategy, this kind of pure research is vital to our nation's interests, so instead of killing the whole thing, it would be far better to fix it. But, Americans don't need no learnin-n-stuff. We can just hire us one of them smart fellers from India.

Look how many people still promote creationism over evolution.

People just don't understand how valuable scientific experiments are to our future.

Call it a boondoggle and get the M$M to help kill it.

They can always find the words.

Buy off some Democrat and blame him. No one will look at 100% Republicans voting in a block.

Argue it costs too much and never mention what the results could bring to the economy, let alone the high-end jobs, prestige and the generated results of those.

Nope. Boondoggle without backing. Cost overruns without quantity. Future losses with no projections.

They end up as smaller big fish in an even smaller fishbowl, parading themselves as bigger than ever.

Losers. Unfortunately, all of us.
