Will Trump distract us by attacking North Korea?

Last edited Thu May 11, 2017, 03:35 PM - Edit history (1)

Trump's in deep shit and badly in need of a "shiny new thing" to force us to look away from what's going on. And that "shiny thing" needs to be really big.

I can't think of anything bigger than his ordering an attack on North Korea. The fact that they have nukes that can reach South Korea, Japan, and maybe even Hawaii doesn't mean a damn thing to Trump. All he cares about is himself, his own survival, and being idolized. Put another way, he doesn't give a rat's ass if they use their nukes. It will just give him a reason to use ours. And then ...

Congressional Republicans must be aware of this possibility but, at present, are falling into lockstep behind a madman.

Would the generals in the Pentagon follow his orders? I would like to believe they wouldn't. But what would be their alternative?

The bottom line is that it's not just Trump who is in deep shit. Ir's America.
