The Republican Plan To Remove Trump

They never liked him. A few are genuinely concerned about the profound threat to constitutional order. And they have their boy, Mike Pence, waiting in the wings.

All in all, Republicans are slowly but surely contemplating the politics and mechanics of ridding themselves of President Trump.

Some Republicans have the advantage of principled concerns about Trump. Others will see their problem in purely political terms, given the strength of Trump Republican voters. All will be looking for the easiest way out. And all would vastly prefer President Pence.

Were screwed no matter how many of them we remove from office. Who would be after Pence? It would be Paul Ryan, I believe.

EXCLUSIVE: RICO case being pursued against @GOP and @Reince45 over Russian money laundering

Who is going to be left in GOP?? Real question ...

Louise has said for weeks that EVERYONE down to Hatch is compromised, on tape, sounds like mostly via international intercepts foreign IC's.

We will have to redefine "UNPRECEDENTED" if this ends up being true.

Please god please ....

If Trump is removed first, then Pence appoints a new VP, then Pence is removed, the new VP will become P.

Pence, Ryan, and McCONnell are all part of the team that stole the Electoral College from the majority vote winner Hillary Clinton.

They do not get to appoint Presidents one after another as each is indicted.

He knew about Flynn, and he's up to his neck in collusion with the Russians! It's Trump's campaign team being investigated and Pence was a big part of that group!!!

It may happen in a different order this time around.

If Trump goes first, then Pence is automatically P with the VP vacant. If Pence is impeached/removed/whatever before the VP position is filled, then Ryan is next.

Unless of course he is also impeached before a new Speaker is selected...

When Ford rose, he appointed Rockefeller. Rockefeller was NOT House Speaker at the time.

Thus Pence, if he rises, would appoint a VP. It would not be Ryan because Ryan would not accept.

If Pence goes first, Trump appoints a new VP, again not Ryan.

Ryan wants to be Reagan in 2024 (1980) while Pence is Ford in 2020 (1976).

Agnew resigned 10/10/73.
Ford became VP 12/6/73.
Ford became P 8/9/74 when Nixon resigned.

For almost two months, the country was without a VP. That was what I was talking about. The Speaker would succeed if the President resigned and the VP position was vacant.

If impeachment-conviction was likely, or resignation likely, tRump and the RepubliCons would rush through the confirmation ASAP come hell or high water.

It is conceivable that some course of events would make it the way you suggest, but very unlikely.

involved in the collusion with Russia, involved on a personal level just as surely as tRump was heavily involved on a personal level.

Their greatest fear? They dump tRump and he spills the beans on all of them. And it is a given that he will spill the beans when and if they move to oust him.

What's a traitorous R to do?
