It Is OK To Attack A Veteran Candidate's Service If He Or She Is A Democrat

For Republicans or Republican candidates it is ok to attack a veteran who is a Democrat. In their view any veteran is who is a Democrat cannot possibly be patriotic. The fact that they embrace progressive or liberal values make them at least a socialist and maybe even a communist. Attacking Duckworth's service is ok with Republicans. The GOP views her as the enemy. She could have the Medal Of Honor and they would still complain that she faked it.

When you look at what happened to John Kerry and Max Cleland it makes you want to barf. They were both portrayed as frauds even though they were properly decorated for their service. Bush was a deserter. The fact that people will vote eagerly for candidates using such tactics shows how sick this country is. That is why I do not care when something bad happens to a Republican.

Duckworth should win the election by 30 points, but I bet it will be close and she might even lose. That possibility is almost too much to contemplate.

If she didn't, she's no patriot. Attack away.

On the other hand, these guys are true Americans and must be given full respect:

Geneva Shmeneva....their patriotism cannot be questioned.

but dude is in Congress now and can afford to get his teeth fixed. But, then again, he would lose his "House Negro" smile.

At what they did to Sen. Kerry and Max Cleland! Sen. Kerry's "swiftboating" sticks out in my mind most and was such an ugly time in our country's history. I will never forget those rat bastards at the gop convention wearing purple heart bandaids, making fun of something so sacred and they got away with it! And it still pisses me off that veterans' organizations like the American Legion did not come to Sen. Kerry's defense. Can you imagine Democrats doing this? Republican's are an ugly, disgusting, evil bunch and I would never want to be associated with any of them!

Be nice if people here would stop blaming Kerry instead of those who should have been doing the surrogate work.

It would also be nice if some (not all) Obama supporters here (at DU and social media land) could see that Senator Kerry and others are doing for Obama what very few did for him. Guess that people will never forgive him for anything 04, like people don't forgive Obama for 08.
