Just an observation about medical care. Whenever I see these

TV commercials showing car wrecks and big life saving techniques and hospital technology I find myself saying can't afford that one, or that one either.

I'll take a cab to the hospital or maybe just to urgent care.

of dollars of the ER visit after a car wreck. Double check your policy.

A lot of people don't realize that, and will pass on going to the hospital when they really should.

And yes, I know that a simple ER visit can be incredibly expensive, but if you need to go there it's even more expensive in the long run if you don't go.

who did personal injury lawsuits.

One of the most important things I learned was how important it is to go to the hospital if there is the remotest chance you've been injured in a car accident. If you don't and then a bit later try to make a claim for those injuries, you'll be totally out of luck, because you didn't document them by going to the ER.

And especially if it's trivial. The cost of the ER, which will be billed to your insurance, will be negligible.

Here's a personal story. Some years back I was in a relatively minor car accident, and after a few minutes I could feel my neck tensing up, and decided I might have a whiplash injury. Went to the ER. I was given muscle relaxants, which apparently did the trick, because the burgeoning whiplash injury disappeared. For months I kept on waiting for a bill from the ER. I had, of course, given all the relevant information, including my auto insurance info, when checking in. It wasn't until several years later, when I was working for the attorney, that I finally realized what had happened. Which was that my insurance was billed and there was nothing additional for me to pay.

So ever since I've made it a bit of a personal mission to inform people about this, because so many honestly don't understand how it works.

Are you saying the emt and ambulance ride cost would be your biggest concern /expense ?
Hopefully no accidents occur so no decisions need to be made
