I think these are just some of the many reasons the judge may had tried to set bail high enough as to put it out of reach.

(3,627 posts)Z can make the bond, but he doesn't get the $100K 10% bail bond charge back. That's nearly half the money he's raised, and while I don't think he needs it for his defense I suspect he just plain doesn't want to give it up. That's a lot more money than Z makes in a year of doing actual work.
