If I remember correctly, Tammy ran against another guy before she went to the VA. And the VFW AND the Disable Vets both "supported" Tammy's opponent. Maybe it's just a repub thing. Tap tap tap....

14. Yup. Roskam was Henry Hyde's (and the NRA's) hand picked successor so the two groups fell in line

with who Hyde told them to vote for. It was despicable if you ask me.

I know Hyde was a rainmaker and a Rethug power player, and Roskam was an NRA darling, but their shameful endorsement of that guy over one of their own was pretty low.

Especially in calling Walsh on his false claims about Duckworth that her service "is all she talks about," that she calls herself a hero, and that citing her accomplishnments is tantamount to calling herself a hero.

Banfield would not allow him simply to use the segment to deliver a self-serving monologue. Good for her!

8. I have always liked her, ever since she was the only one on TV after the towers came down.

She is gutsy, strong, smart....and she kicked that idiot's ass from here till the middle of next week! She didn't just challenge his comments, she went to the trouble of refuting them--she had way more material than he did. And she turned his condescending "Aaaaasshhhley, Asssshhhhhhley, Assssssshhhhhley" right back on him--made him look like a buffoon and a shithead.

I'll bet he is still seeing stars!
