Obama makes a surprise diner stop

SANDUSKY, Ohio -- President Obama made an impromptu stop at a diner in Oak Harbor, Ohio — and made every effort to blend in with the crowd.

"All right, I'm going to eat my burger," Obama said after ordering a cheeseburger, fries, and a tall iced tea from the Kozy Corners diner. "And everybody just pretend like I'm not here."

Before eating, Obama circulated around the room, meeting the local patrons.

"Let me tell you, first of all. I love nurses," Obama told Kim Weis, an emergency-room nurse at Magruder Hospital. "Can I tell you. You look great. This is a good looking woman."

Obama interrupted a pinochle game to ask the five women if they were playing for money.

"Tell the truth, the national press is here," Obama joked. "Are you playing for money?"

Upon finding out they were playing for "a dollar or a quarter," Obama said: "I'm not going to take you on, especially now that I know you play for money."

One fourth-grade girl, Sydney, showed Obama her sketchbook.

"You're very talented … You're a very well spoken young lady," Obama said before signing "Dream big dreams" on her book.

One young boy also asked Obama to sign a dollar bill — which Obama declined to do, noting that that was illegal under federal law.

White House press secretary Jay Carney too caused a small stir.

One reporter traveling with Obama confirmed Carney's identity to Julia Konieczny, 19, a granddaughter of the restaurant's owners.

"Told you it was Jay Carney because he has adorable glasses," Konieczny told her friend.

All of Obama's are very recent. The pics of Mittens are from as far as a year ago.
I guess they couldn't find many pics of Mittens at Mom & Pop restaurants because
he doesn't like to mingle with the dirty commoners.
