With only a few months left on Lawrence's contract, the network suits haven't even begun negotiations, raising speculation as to whether they're moving the station toward conservative hosts.

(10,893 posts)agreed with the things he says, but it would be horrible to see him let go. If MSNBC lets him go, they really are clueless. Their main demographics for years have been liberals and moderates, but they seem to have forgotten that and are busy chasing viewers who mostly distrust and dislike their network.

(10,419 posts)I mentioned on another site that if they replace Lawrence with anyone other than Dan Rather calibre, it will free up another hour of my day to walk my dog.

(4,973 posts)I really like Lawrence O'Donnell. If they get rid of someone like him, I'll just stop watching MSNBC all together.

If MSNBC gets rid of Lawrence, there will be no one left but Rachel. She is next to go, even though she is the top rated show on that network.

(68,586 posts)if they do that ...then they have an agenda which is why we had fairness doctrine and need to move back in that direction...we also need to limit corporation ownership of tv stations.

(7,113 posts)One of the reasons was Lawrence suggested 45 wasn't anywhere near as rich as he says he is.
So Trump has been pushing station management ever since to give Lawrence the axe.
No doubt if they do let LO'D go, Trump will take it as an indication of his own power and clout.
