Trump brings Russians to the Oval Office and tomorrow it's Erdowan.
Previously he seemed to be inviting Dutarte.
I read The Shock Doctrine, and recognize the signs and the strategy. The strategy is to overwhelm us and push controversial decisions down our throats until we can't breathe. They want to dislodge the opposition and knock us off balance, putting our institutions are in disarray. The violation of norms is not an accident. It is intentional.
They are attacking school nutrients guidelines, for heavens sake. Who benefits from that?
Erdowan in the whitehouse at a time like this says "we are the friend of dictators". Well, the U.S. has been a friend of dictators before, but usually we have a pretense, at least, of objecting to their human rights travesties (even while we were nurturing those human rights travesties through School of the Americas and the like). Our government ignored the compass when it served their purpose to do so. But the normalization of dictators will throw away the compass, or recalibrate it so that due north becomes due south.
I suspect that Trump Youth organizations are right around the corner. There is no boundary he won't cross.
Will there be enough patriots in Congress to stop him before it's too late?
