Rand Paul gets it half right on Sessions and drug enforcement

http://www.cnn.com/2017/05/15/opinions/sessions-is-wrong-rand-paul-opinion/index.html

Good article overall except for the fact that he misses the whole point of the War on Drugs.

"If I told you that one out of three African-American males is forbidden by law from voting, you might think I was talking about Jim Crow 50 years ago.
Yet today, a third of African-American males are still prevented from voting, primarily because of the War on Drugs."

Hey Rand, that's the point of the war on Drugs, to stop minorities from voting for Democrats. Rand, you belong to a part of racists and the people leading your party are flat out White Supremacists. How can you possibly miss that fact?

And he points out how enforcement is different in the cities vs the suburbs, but fails to see why the courts are different, they are different because racism is ingrained in law enforcement, court officers, and judges.

Paul can see some of the truth, he just misses that racism is at the root of this. And he also fails to point out that the private prison industry wants tax payer money and they donated to Trump heavily to guarantee they would get more of it.

Complete with a home invasion of masked men and machine guns. Its Gestapo thug booted fascism.

If we cared about our people we would decriminalize and treat it as a public health issue. We could use the billions of dollars we spend on robbing people and instead pay for education and treatment
