He invited the guy heading his own investigation into his home. He should have had a lawyer talking for him. Comey was investigating him and everything he said is evidence now.

8. It's not uncommon in the business world

I used to write and send "this is what we talked about" emails to people I had meetings with so there would be some paper trail. If Trump had actually worked in a real business - with a boss, and chain of command, and all that (rather than being the head of a privately held business with no accountability) he might have been familiar with this practice.
