A lot of people on social media seem to be expressing sympathy towards Comey based on his abrupt firing. Honestly I really don't care how Trump has treated Comey.
It is due to Comey and his irresponsible actions that Drumpf got the seat in the White House. It infuriates me that now Comey is trying to act like a hero when he torpedoed Sec. Clinton's campaign with baseless accusations.

have mentioned that he was investigating trump, only that the Russians were trying to influence the election.
Not nearly the same thing as saying Obama didn't want him to reveal that he was also investigating trump.
Come on, Comey knew exactly what he was doing in Oct with the letter. He knew it would be leaked, so yeah, he is responsible for trump being in the White House.
He should have either divulged that he was investigating both candidates or keep silent about both investigations. That would have been fair but he only revealed the Clinton re-investigation.

(15,682 posts)I think you're a good guy and find it strange that you'd default to using right wing talking points.
Comey didn't want to "go public" about trump/Russia investigations. If he wanted to he would have set up a press conference (along with other intelligence agencies) to formally announce Russia's involvement in our elections and the FBI's investigation into possible collusion by the maggot and his campaign. But he wouldn't do such a thing. He was only willing to write an OpEd. Something he'd be able to point to as proof he was treating both candidates equally.
I find it terribly offensive, trying to put the blame on President Obama. He wanted nothing short of a full press release from the FBI about Russia's involvement and the maggot's possible collusion.
I stand corrected.
I'll remove that post.
