Do you think the democrats will be able to really capitalise on the gift the GOP may hand them?...

We are way passed fucked up here and into twilight zone la la land in terms of just how insane and incompetent this presidency is. So it would very much surprise me if the democrats didn't win by a healthy margin in the next election. Even with gerrymandering. But my question is do you think they will be able to FULLY capitalise on what may end up being one of the best gifts the GOP could have ever handed the democrats? Because come 2018 it's likely that people will be so starving for some semblance of stability that they will flee the GOP in doves. But to capitalise on this the democrats need to have a real solid plan. They need to put forward a real game changer of a candidate, someone that will galvanise the nation. I think there's real opportunity for something amazing if they don't screw this up.
