Given that republicans/conservatives hold control over 2 of the 3 branches of government and in very near future will have control of the 3rd branch means trump can do whatever he wants. The only thing that will take trump down is trump himself (which is happening).

Republicans/Conservatives have invested billions and been working toward this goal for decades...they are not going to jeopardize it now. In some sense we are lucky that trump got elected. Had republicans gotten a more rational person like Rubio or Jeb we would be in much bigger trouble.
