Anytime I walk by a tour group - which is multiple times a day - there's always a contingent of people, mostly white, teenage boys, wearing those tacky red hats that they bought from a vendor.
I was a teenage boy once, so I know how dumb they can be, but this is too much! And as an adult, I'm certainly not going to engage. I guess I'll just have to settle for venting on DU.

(613 posts)Two months ago I occasionally ran into people wearing 45 gear in NW DC.
Now - nothing. It's gone. Adults and locals are embarrassed.
I confess I once said to a kid wearing a 45 hat: "The president is a criminal. Take that hat off."
And to another "If you are wearing that hat, your parents are complicit." That was probably too strong.

Personally, I prefer the ITMFA hats if I was looking for a bright red hat.
