Orrin Hatch sent this letter to Republican stakeholders soliciting feedback about AHCA

Addressed to: "Stakeholders that represent the interests of patients, providers, employers, and thought leaders..."

Forgot to ask if any of the rest of us wanted to respond.

Email address: HealthReform@Finance.senate.gov

Respond no later than May 23. Time to let him know how we feel.

3. "We the people" are the biggest 'stakeholders'...

The GOP just chose to repeatedly ignore that part.

The fact is that we're the ones that will pay for the POS AHCH's cuts to services, higher out of pocket costs, tax breaks for the user rich, etc as patients, family members and as taxpayers.

He wants to hear from 'stakeholders'? Fine then citizen stakeholders need to make sure he hears from them loud and clear... FLOOD THAT EMAIL BOX... JAM IT to the max with citizen stakeholder outrage and remind them of how the citizen stakeholders can hire and fire them with their votes.

7. While that's true too I chose to stay with 'his' word for a couple of reasons...

First of all because I like the ploy of using an a-holes own words against them.

Second of all, while a stakeholder might have a financial interest/investment in something they don't always. Sometimes their interest is because they have something other than money to gain or lose like civil/human rights, clean air/water, needed special ed programs, free school lunches, a healthy planet, a cure for a disease, etc.

For instance, my 6 grandchildren (5 are girls) are years away from being legally old enough to get a job no less vote so they don't have any real financial interest yet but they too are what 'I' consider 'stakeholders' in this country. In a way they're even more than I am since hopefully they have many decades ahead if them while between my age and disability I'll be lucky if I get 2.

(mostly because god keeps telling them to)

Until we can do something about that...

8. We all can 'do' something about ignorance...

For some it may be in vain although over time even mountains can be worn down so I prefer to believe that there's hope.

I've been politically aware since my youth growing up in the 60s/70s and confronting RW BS for decades but never has that been more important than now. It's easy to feel overwhelmed but we can't roll over, just vent and give in to despair. We MUST try, in whatever way is possible, to fight against this horrible agenda. There's just too much at stake for humanity, our planet and the future.

As for 'god' as a weapon of the ignorant, 'WWJD' isn't what these supposed 'christians' are preaching and doing and, IMO, they should be called on it by Progressive Christians, Pagans, Atheists, etc (using the words of Jesus in the Gospels works well IME).
