Low-level Trump staffers face $1.500 an hour legal fees in Russia probe

Low-level Trump staffers face $1,500 an hour legal fees in Russia probe

http://www.rawstory.com/2017/05/low-level-trump-staffers-face-1500-an-hour-legal-fees-in-russia-probe/

Amid news that President Donald Trump’s White House aides are under investigation, low-level staffers may have to add high legal costs and loopholes barring them from receiving free counsel to the long list of difficulties brought on by their boss.

POLITICO reported that many lower-level Trump aides under investigation by newly-appointed special counsel Robert Mueller may have difficulty affording the outside legal help they’ll need.

Staffers of past presidents under investigation have, according to the report, been subject to legal fees that can go as high as hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars. White collar lawyers can cost up to $1,500 an hour, and most low-level staffers without personal or familial deep pockets may struggle to pay for lawyers of that caliber.

According to the report, Trump staff under investigation by Mueller will not be able to access White House general counsel, nor are they likely to be reimbursed by the Justice Department, which on occasion reimburses federal employees if their counsel is “in the interest of the United States”.

Staff, contractors, etc. To Trump, everyone's disposable.

Poor Omarosa. What if they question her "bow-down or else" statement?

Get Out Now & tell the truth if you are asked.

Trump sells out everyone except his kids.

And I always thought that kind of sucked becasue those with hunts against Bill took such a toll on them-and the country, and it was all so wrong.

Book contract and knew her husband would do the same. Even if her statement were litreally true, after both got their advances. Then given the speeches Bill into lined up and book royalties, they would not only not be broke, but very well off. PS That money was something they deserved.

It sounds like a lot of money but Bill did a speech a week for fifteen years. I agree, they earned it. But yeah, while in office they got fucked, it cost them a lot to be in the WH. its crazy.

There already has been 6 WH people escorted out of the WH by security. Some it may be just things like credit etc. But some of them may have been the first to get a lawyer.

Start at the bottom with the least able to afford representation and threaten them. Not at all fair, but it seems to work.

If they were involved in wrongdoing or heard about it and didn't report it to the FBI, screw them. If they are innocent, just answer damned questions without a counsel present.

It would be much better if they had good lawyers counseling them in order to shift the blame onto tRump. We don't want the courts tied up with low level nonsense.
