My sister and I just had a 1/2 hour discussion regarding possible outcomes...this is tough.

We think that it's probably best for the Donald to remain in office until AFTER the 2018 elections so we can get the House. That way we don't get stuck with Pence or Ryan and the Repub agenda getting pushed through easily. As long as he stays in office they can't get much done. And if he leaves office and Pence does become POTUS the dems can investigate him. I'm aware that he's done many illegal acts as VP. Spiro Agnew (Nixon's VP was forced out over his taxes and that's how we got Ford). Of course he will probably do great harm to our country until 2018, including getting us into a possible war and destroying our reputation worldwide. It's a tough call.

If the process happens, it will be a long, drawn out affair. I'd rather it get started at the pace NBachers May 2017 #6

he does to the Republican party which should make it easier for Democrats to gain seats in Congress in 2018.

The other part of me says that while he's destroying the Republican party he stands to do a lot of damage to the country as a whole and to lower income people in particular.

and that person if he went down also is who we would end up with.

He could pick someone harder for us to run against.

By 2018 there will not be a recognizable democracy left to save.

The Russia Sanctions from 2014 ...
which are those that Exxon Rosneft & Putin want lifted........
Are set to automatically EXPIRE in March/April 2018

The only way to extend those sanctions is either by Executive Order or by passing Senate Bill 94...
Before March 2018

Either way ... it requires the POTUS to sign / approve....

So... if 45 is still around you can bet your ass those sanctions will expire....
no action required for that to happen

At which point, this little exercise in
how to turn a democratic republic into a full on Autocracy / Trumptopian Nightmare...
Will be so entrenched & so well financed that it will take a revolutionary army/ militant uprising to get him out...

And we are going to struggle to make the gains we need in Congress in 2018.

it's going, and continue 'till it's over- preferably before 2018. There'll be plenty of opportunities to exploit republican treason and corruption that will be revealed.

If Trump is gone and the focus is then transferred to the rest of the republican traitors, they'll be in the thick of it by that time. They'll be politically hobbled if they're trying to run for office.
