Length of time for Special Counsel Investigation

I looked up the Kenneth Starr investigation into Bill Clinton's alleged perjury and obstruction of justice charges. Starr had already been appointed to (get this) investigate whether Vince Foster had been murdered, instead of committed suicide. In January 1998, Starr's investigation was broadened to include possible perjury and obstruction of justice by Clinton regarding the Lewinsky scandal.

Starr concluded the Clinton perjury/OJ investigation with the filing of his report in September 1998. So that took about 8 - 9 mos. And that was a MUCH simpler matter than what Mueller is investigating.

Geez....this investigation could take no telling how long. I wonder if he can conclude as to one facet, and then move on to a second one? They're probably all intertwined.

(BTW, Starr found that Vince Foster had undiagnosed & untreated depression & had indeed committed suicide. Rightwingnuts still push the meme that the Clintons killed Vince Foster.)

Of Comey (the guy leading the investigation) is tantamount to a confession of the crime of collusion.

That might speed things up. The one they had for 9/11 was given 9 months but it only took 6. I don't know who or how an independent investigation gets started though.

As it's been said, they've been working on it for a year now, most of that time without direct interference (maybe?), I realize it will take a while before we know it all and hope it's not measured in years.

But the FBI knows what's going on due to having all the resources since day one, they may need more and now would be allowed what they need, but I would think that any pressing need to remove certain persons from a position of power if the situation warrants it is forefront in the effort already.

Such as treason if proven, and they would have the proof I'd imagine.

Outstanding.
