Just heard on NPR, they interviewed a journalist for an Israeli newspaper about Trump.

The journalist was saying that overall, the Israeli attitude toward Trump is positive.

They LIKE the fact that he's the opposite of Obama!

He said that only a few people connected to Israeli intelligence care about the handing over of secret info to the Russians.

He says Trump's trip will be a big win for him and that he will have a warm welcome.

I will confess that I have no idea what their political leanings might be.

I don't see this statement as particularly telling.

There are hardline militant Israeli nationalists too who lean towards racism and authoritarianism.

Netanyahu is one of them. His party and political allies believe those things too.

Obama is a centrist who wants to make the world better. Most citizens of Western countries like or love Obama and hate authoritarians like our president, Le Pen, Putin, Chavez, Ahmadinejad, and Ergodan. A minority in all countries likes authoritarians and embraces hate. And Obama was more pro-Palestinian than most.

So yes, you can find Israelis that believe what is alleged. But Israel is a democracy with diverse views. Most Israelis don't like dictators and autocrats.
