I'd love to sit in on a conversation between O and Merkel and hear their thoughts on Dear Leader.

The Alt Right is very busy creating hatred in Germany. I hope the German people reelect her.

I love reading updates on our beloved POTUS and FLOTUS. This week someone here on DU posted a photo from Italy of President Obama. He looked like Armani had dressed him shades to shoes. A couple of days later I saw another DU post with BHO wearing Docker mom jeans and shoes that were not as fashionable. In this last photo Madame Former First Lady is wearing a Sophia Loren style, sexy off the shoulder number. After admiring her beauty, I laughed upon remembering the first photo I had seen.

They make a couple we can be proud of yesterday, today and tomorrow.

In any case, I'll never vote for her party (christian democratic union), or rather her sister party in Bavaria (christian social union), since they range from "reasonably conservative" to "moderate US republican" levels, which is just way too right-wing in my opinion.

My vote will go to the green party, hoping for a left-wing majority of SPD, Green party, "Left" party. That was actually achieved last time, but the SPD is/was too afraid of the left party to form a coalition. (They have some Putinists and communists, so it's understandable, but we need their votes for progressive politics...)

Looks like the lefties will lose big time in September though. Might even be a right-wing majority of CDU, CSU, FDP. So probably another 4 years of Merkel. Soon, she'll have been chancellor for the better part of my life. Really. 43% of my life right now.
