The answer is, they wouldn't.
Especially if that someone is Donald Trump. He jumps on the Twitter at the first hint someone is criticizing him. Except when it is about Russia.
He seems to be willing to go thru whatever it takes - bad press, drop in the polls, investigations, whatever - to keep from talking about the Russian "issue"?
Innocent people do not act the way this White House is acting.
They are hiding something. We just don't know what it is.....yet.

(14,532 posts)the big question was "will he act presidential" Whenever he said something 1/2 way normal they congratulating him for making the pivot into the president elect. an hour later he was back to trumping. Lather rinse repeat.
He is 70 years old, he will not change. To all the people who are shocked he is still acting like an idiot...WTF did you expect? This behavior has gotten him to where he is so why should he start acting like a president now? I can't believe people voted for him because they thought he would change, that his behavior was just for the campaign. They didn't want to acknowledge that this is who he is, he has acted like this his whole life.

(17,006 posts)You are so right. They wouldn't. The fact the it isn't just him but everyone around him speaks volumes. My guess is that Twitler has engaged in illegal financial shenanigans for a very long time and has never been criminally charged. He convinced himself and those around him that he and they never would be. He failed to recognize the difference between being a shady business man and the President of the United States. Apparently, so did those around him. He has avoided the consequences of his actions due to having deeper pockets than those he cheated and dragging out court cases until they gave up. I think he has met his match in the US government. I don't know if we will be able to get him out of office but I believe his legal bills will be astronomical and the taint on his brand permanent. My guess is his biggest fear is being poor, may he meet it sooner rather than later.
