Roy Steven Limbaugh, the Danvers Level 3 sex offender accused of a knife attack on a veteran Danvers patrolman, was found competent yesterday to stand trial after a psychiatric evaluation at Bridgewater State Hospital.
During a hearing at Salem Superior Court, an at times agitated Limbaugh, 59, lashed out at his second court-appointed attorney and the officer prosecutors say he attempted to murder, insisting he should be allowed to file a counter claim against the officer, another detective and the Danvers Police Department, statements he has made in prior hearings.
