Does any other DUer use Yahoo Mail? Having trouble.

Things have recently changed and simple emailing tasks are no longer simple. For example: forwarding an email to a list of contacts is not working as the address box doesn't recognize my lists' names....or something.

Wonder if any one else is finding trouble.

I thinking there are people at Yahoo unhappy with being bought out by Verizon and they are making things bad so people shift to other email sites (Gmail). I've been with Yahoo for years...hate to have to change my address and figure out how to get my contacts and lists of contacts shifted to new outfit.

It's been trouble forever, Slow and often doesn't work at all. You can go to the Options and switch to the Basic version, which I do when it gets unbearable.

I bought my own domain and use it solely for email. For a minimal fee once a year, I get to control my own email.

I used to have a Hotmail. I took a day and transfered all my contacts to my new account, and I still have access to my old Hotmail emails, but I have the ultimate control over my emails now and I don't have to worry about it being sold and my privacy stolen.

I haven't gotten my usual regular e-mails (Google alerts, listserve I'm on) this morning. I'm slowly transitioning to Smartmail, but I'm not in love with Smartmail's interface, either. I'm giving it a try for a year.

Interesting as Verizon is doing away with their email. I had to go with AOL, not thrilled about that, but it was the only way to keep my email address and I have a lot of things hooked up with the email address so didn't want to change it.

No telling what changes are ahead. Only thing I know now is my Yahoo email contact list is virtually unusable except for initial compositions. Forwarding to a list is impossible.

My email is still (oldemail name)@verizon.net, and I get it through AOL. It even transferred my contacts over.

Cause the old Yahoo thing is just too clunky. Work email not a problem cause I own the company.

reestablish on my phone still doesn't work. Just don't switch to Outlook (hotmail) - they invented some kind of focused email which THEY seem to pick what you want to see.

Why oh why don't they just give us a simple list of out inbox - boom - that is it.

have to say, out of all the websites - the ones that just left them simple are the best.
