Twelve guns and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition were stolen Thursday from a house near 30th Street and Titus Avenue, Omaha police said.
The 55-year-old man who owned the guns told police that a relative left the house while two friends stayed behind. When the family member returned, the friends were gone and the firearms and ammunition were discovered missing.
Police advise gun owners to keep weapons locked up to avoid such thefts. They also should record gun serial numbers to make the guns easier to find if they are stolen, said Officer Michael Pecha, a police spokesman.

(29 posts)I am sure Darrell Issa is on the case. He might not be able to pin it on Holder directly but that doesn't mean he won't try.

"discovered missing"? I think leaving out the word discovered would have been a good idea.
