Has he always been a flip-flopping fish?
First he says he wants to "know more about President Trumps business dealings," and tonight he was on Faux News basically saying Trump should not let Comey testify.
WTH...I'd like to smack him. What say ye DU, I'm unfamiliar with his history? Ty

(115,761 posts)Just when you think he might have grown a spine, he folds like a cheap lawn chair and goes back to fellating the current GOP president or candidate - much like "maverick" John McCain.

(194 posts)I keep hearing on the MSM that Graham and McCain are going to be the two who put morals and Country over party and sadly I had a wee bit of hope.
Stupid me.

(575 posts)He used to have more backbone but, in the past several years he gotten very flippy.
Some has to do with fear of being outed if he is gay.
He is from S. Carolina
Ruby red state
he fears being more marginalized, as his buddy McCain, if he pushes too much
that is what I think
That's why I've seen the memes of Graham by Republicans on social media. That's a damn shame.

(33,643 posts)He may not be 'actively' gay due to his likely deep-seated repression, but there's little chance in my mind he's not attracted to men. Few people set off my gaydar (or is that an un-PC term nowadays ... if so, sorry) like Lindsey.
I'd say 'there's nothing wrong with that', but to my thinking there is something at least a little bit 'wrong' about being a closeted gay republican politician who votes GOP party-line at all times. Not because of the being gay part, of course.
We could really use him and McCain crossing the aisle right about now though is the truth, along with Susan Collins. Getting us back control of the Senate before 2018 ... would be pretty huge.
