Diminishing Returns - Republicans Legislating against Their Own Voters

It seems as though the Republicans in Congress, and yes, in the White House can only see and hear part of their electorate. By focusing solely on what they think of as their "base," they seem determined to pass legislation that harms the majority of the people who voted for them in the 2016 election.

While this certainly solidifies their support from that "base," which is made up mostly of teabaggers and evangelical Protestants, it's not going to do them much good if it alienates the rest of those who have routinely voted for Republicans.

The Law of Diminishing Returns is bound to go into effect at some point. Hasten the day!
