Media is Still Spinning BS

[link:http://www.dailykos.com/story/2017/6/3/1668641/-Media-Is-Still-Spinning-BS-When-It-Comes-To-Clinton|

"The media in this country was more than happy to boost ratings using, debating, salivating over the fruits of Putin’s efforts. It willingly made itself an accomplice.

And Clinton still managed to win the popular vote by millions. To get more votes than any other candidate in history outside Obama.

I’m really tired of the smug hypocrisy and continued gratuitous Clinton bashing."

I guess the formatting shortcuts aren't working. But I did like this link. I know that there is a contingent of Hillary Haters here on DU, but, like the writer, I too am really tire of the smug hypocrisy and gratuitous Clinton bashing. If you hated our candidate, why not just skip this thread.

I'd say that about accurately describes it.

I know one so-called "progressive" minor commentator in the DC area who thought Bernie Sanders was God and Hillary was the devil. After the primary was decided, he anguished and ended up supporting Trump just because he wasn't Hillary. He now works for Fox, where he can continue his I-Hate-Hillary routine uninterrupted. At least he is among friends.

Though I thought Hillary was too old for the job (and Sanders thus more so), I certainly did not think she or Sanders were incapable of doing the job, and of the two candidates who ended up at the top of their respective tickets, that she was the ONLY one qualified to do the job--an assessment that certainly seems to have been accurate.

The author seemed to concisely capture the way the media played the public - including some Democrats who consumed the soup without cooling it first.
