The problem is simple: Money equals Power.

It all boils down to that.

It makes sense for money to provide luxury, security, and fame, but the problems we see today can be traced directly to our government allowing money to buy power. It doesn't have to be that way.

There ought to be a maximum wage that's some multiple of the minimum wage (less than 20X, maybe much less) and aggressive inheritance taxes as well.

All the money on the planet won't give policy messages constructive power equal to the destructive power of a titillating and/or fear-mongering lie.

Destructive lies work for anti-government conservatives.
They do not work for progressives of any political orientation.
