Before everyone starts telling me that the polls were wrong and that we would have President Hillary if they were correct, let me say for the record that the national polls were right.
Hillary won the national, popular vote by more than 2 points. The polls that came out 5 days after the Comey letter and 4 days before the election had Hillary ahead by 3 points.
So, the polls were accurate, as far as I'm concerned.
Now, today, Trump is minus 16 points in his approval rating. That's a big number and getting bigger.

(1,755 posts)with regard to the 2016 General Election but irrelevant, given the fact presidents arent elected via popular vote.
Concerning Trump, even with a hefty dose of margin of error, his approval rating is indeed dismal, indicative of an unpopular elected official.
