* The Supreme Court has a few options when it comes to President Trumps travel ban. The justices can grant or deny certiorari to hear the case, or grant or deny a stay on lower court rulings blocking various aspects of the ban. Either way, this case could become moot before its ever heard. {New York Times}
* Meanwhile, the man whos the worst client in the universe lashed out at Justice Department lawyers this morning in a series of Tweets, demanding that the travel ban be referred to as a travel ban instead of the watered down, politically correct version they submitted to {SCOTUS}. Congrats on undermining your case! {New York Times}
* Get your popcorn ready, because according to two senior administration officials, President Trump will reportedly not be invoking executive privilege to block former FBI director James Comey from testifying before the Senate Intelligence Committee later this week in the ongoing Russia probe. {The Hill}

(115,747 posts)1. I think that if a lawyer is sent to Hell, his punishment would be
having to represent Trump for all eternity. I can't imagine a worse client.

If he were the only person in the room, he would still lose an argument with himself.
He's got so many self inflicted holes in his feet, I wonder that he can walk.

The Supremes will pass on this... or hear it and take into account his demand that this is a ban on Muslims.. and should they take the case, I cannot believe that they would rule in Trumps favor.
At that point, if he is still President, he will order the DHS to implement the ban anyway. The courts will order a stay on that action. Chaos will ensue as some jurisdictions will follow the executive and some will not.
