I have been a mock juror on civil cases that resulted in mid eight figure verdicts. Not only are their questions disingenuous they are ineffective. They have done nothing to impeach Comey's testimony. If you look at them as Trump's counsel it is their job to destroy him.

1. This isn't a trial; to some extent it's a show for the public.

That's why they ask tendentious or leading questions that would never be used in a real trial. There's no point in comparing these Senators to trial lawyers. Some of them aren't lawyers at all.

are an embarrassment to the country. Do they think this parsing and word smithing is helping anyone? "anyone ever charged for saying hope?" Really? They are showing the entire nation, millions of whom are watching today who would never usually see such a hearing, that they have nothing; bereft of principles, dignity, and any sense of patriotism.
