In the old days they would put short leading men on boxes to make them taller than the love interest or they would use camera angles to change perception of relative size. These days they can do it with CGI.

Think of Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter movies - the actors playing the hobbits and dwarves were not that much shorter than Ian McKellen in real life and Robbie Coltrane is not as huge as Hagrid, either.

Heck, Joe Pesci at 5'3" could play Comey with the right camera work and CGI!

How about Brad Garret from Everybody Loves Raymond? He also played Jackie Gleason. Interestingly, he's a little taller than Comey at 6'8".

But Kate McKinnon has to play Sessions, and play it straight.

I don't know about a lifetime movie but if they ever decided to use Jane Haddams excellent series of mysteries starring retired FBI director Gregor Demarkian as a sort of private investigator, James Comey would be great in that role. Great books, give ' em a summer read.

But it may be difficult to get him to audition for the part, and I doubt that he is able to peruse the script at this point, to see if he would like the part.

I could be wrong.

CGI and motion tracking is getting so advanced these days though, the possibility of a digital body double is a reality!

...."Kyle Chandler would make a good Jim Comey".

No joke.
