Outside of Erik Prince's nincompoop mercenaries and some anti-Clinton buffoons in the NY FBI office, he doesn't seem to have many friends he can trust in the Intelligence agencies. Even a LIHOP scenario would likely require some major "Looking the other way" by multiple agencies that are not exactly "liking" his tweets.

And when it comes to internal security and any level of competence, these guys can't even pull off an Easter Egg Roll. And the leaks just keep on coming because even his close supporters at the WH really, really hate this guy.

Which brings us back to Putin, who clearly has the motivation and capability. But is Trump worth that level of risk?

But the damage it would do to the USA would be.

We're entering the danger zone for a false flag event. Impeachment articles are being written, there is the Bharara/Yates/Comey/Schneiderman/Mueller problem, and Trump is hemorrhaging public support...

I've been concerned about this since the election. Given that Putin has been planning and preparing for this opportunity for years, his secret services have had plenty of time to put the necessary resources in place for a major false-flag event.

Trumpco might not even be aware of such plans. They also might not be in the chain of command for triggering it - the timing could be entirely in the hands of Russian analysts and technicians. The attack team would probably make sure that the event was in an area with a large Trump base, and pointed to Islamic jihadists. It would be a recipe for instant racial war.

I pray to all the gods and goddesses that this is a misplaced fear.
