Corporate Media - Giving Free Airplay to GOP Attack Ads Once Again

President Obama, the DNC, liberal groups like moveon.org have all produced ads attacking Republican policies and politicians and promoting Democrats. Yet, unless Democrats pay through the nose for airplay, these ads rarely see the light of day.

In sharp contract, the corporate media once again provides free airplay to Republican attack ads under the guise of journalism. We are used to Fox News going into Siskel and Ebert mode by devoting entire shows to admire the latest handiwork of Republican political operatives like Karl Rove. Now, CNN and MSNBC are shamelessly providing free airplay to Republican attack ads.

The Party won't to do anything that might rile the GOP beyond the scripted outrage. Total aid and abet. Total sham.

...and Reagan vetoed this legislation in 1987. Reagan was a Republican, not a Democrat.

The other narrative the corporate media loves to push is blame Democrats for the media's bias. In other words, the reason why Fox News gives free airplay to Karl Rove's attack ads and not moveon.org is because Democrats and liberals have ineffective media strategies. Look at the healthcare debate.
