Al Franken on Sessions today...

U.S. Senator Al Franken
41 mins ·

Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ testimony in the Senate Intelligence Committee was very unsettling. We know that a hostile foreign power—Russia—sought to undermine our democracy by meddling in the 2016 presidential election. But our attorney general, who is the top law enforcement official in the country, and the rest of the Trump administration seem unconcerned by that disturbing truth. They seem to have collective amnesia about meeting with Russian officials during and after the campaign and only remember when they have been caught. They are not acting like a group of people with nothing to hide.

I also think it’s very clear, despite what he attempted to assert in his testimony, that Attorney General Sessions wasn’t actually confused by my question during his January confirmation hearing. Rather, I believe he’s trying to downplay the gravity of and whitewash the fact that he misled the Senate Judiciary Committee under oath and failed to correct the record until he was forced to do so seven weeks later after reporting by the Washington Post.

Here’s my message to Jeff Sessions: stop misleading the American public, stop making excuses, and start being more forthcoming. Come before the Senate Judiciary Committee to speak honestly and openly with those who you first misled.

he couldn't be called a liar later. HELLO WORLD! Parsing carefully and qualifying everything with outlandish conditions is the sure sign of hiding the truth.

You don't qualify your lies and dance around the truth.
Just jump in with both feet and LIE! With confidence!
That's the way a true Trumpitorian does it!

Lets face it, Kate McKinnon is adorable. She makes Sessions into some funny little man. A comic joke. She does the same with Kellyanne Conway. Kate makes her into some unwilling cute blond in over her head. When in fact both are dangerous evil anti-American influential forces. (of course Sessions is more so)

Even Balwin's Trump. He makes him into some kind of idiot. Yes Donald is ignorant of a whole lot of how government works, or knowledge of other countries, but he knows exactly what he is doing and why.

The more they will shove it down our throats and up our @sses. Sometimes it is necessary to get serious , but since the Cronkites, Wallaces, Rathers have left the news scene, it appears everything has to be gaudy-ed up to get eye-balls. (Spoken from someone who only gets T.V. clips via you-toob.)

Unless we hope, pray, cry, swear until 2020 there will be no justice. They are winning! We must stop them and the only way is through a NON PARTISAN investigation that the GOP can't de-rail. That means an Independent Investigation Commission that we must demand of the House GOP. It is all in their court and they know it. All the dems know it too and their already introduced bill in the House will stagnate until we call, write, protest, and town hall them until they do!!! IT IS UP TO US!

Going to protect the twinkly eyed lyin elf, and allow him to self righteously show his defense to even being questioned. If he were innocent, instead of hurling self righteous insults at those questioning him, and stonewalling, very badly (hard to believe he is a lawyer), he would have respectfully answered the questions, and thanked them for the opportunity to testify. Kind of like Comey, even though I can't stand him.

I think he had enough today, and he served his purpose, which was to refute some things Comey said, and to emphatically state that there was no collusion HOW DARE YOU THINK THAT?! Etc., etc.
