3. Everyone keeps "saying this is the tipping point"...

I've recently come to the conclusions there is no tipping point. Until the American people protest for an extended period of time like Venezuela nothing will happen. We are no better than a third world country right now. The reason people won't answer questions under oath is because they promised Trump they won't. The US is in a world of hurt.

Instead ironically the orange man has the authority to fire Mueller. Mu guess is Mueller will be fired before July 4th.

Trump’s an idiot. He might be restrained for a few more days but he's such a fucking idiot, he'll pull the trigger sooner than later.

Good! Fucks him up faster (I'm sure Mueller already has safeguards in place for his firing)

6. I believe Sessions' resignation will be coming shortly as well.

There's a growing cry from the Right that Jeff Sessions should never have accepted the AG position knowing full-well he would have to recuse himself and abdicate control over the Justice Department.

13. I agree...too many problems with his testimony and memory....lol!

I watched his whole testimony and if someone really wanted to digest his rantings...many of his statements contradicted each other and to listen to them, he seemed to cycle the data, but on the 2nd cycle, the information seemed slightly different.

For example, he initially stated he could not answer questions because of precedence of long standing. Asked if this was written or not, well, he just was not sure. But then later, he thought they were written procedures of confidentiality. And as Kamala stated...if he was going to use this policy to not answer...then would he not have read the policies and refreshed his memory before hand? Well, he just did not know.

Nervous? He has been an attorney general and a senator for how many years? He is in the public scrutiny for how long....and now is nervous?

And another thing that Harris zeroed in on....he is the AG...he is the director of our justice system...but does not know for sure our laws? Too many holes, too many contradictions.....if he doesn't resign soon, I would be so surprised.

7. I'm not a lawyer, but my opinion is that he cannot fire Mueller
Wed Jun 14, 2017, 08:39 PM

Why not? Mainly because he can only be fired for "good cause." This has a well established meaning in employment law, such that, if you are doing your job properly, you can't be fired. It's the same language that protects civil servants and union members, and makes them so hard to fire. So if Trump tries to fire to Mueller, he can go to court with all the evidence he has already gathered and get his job back.

12. That's all true, but...

this is Trump we're talking about. He DOESN'T CARE about the rule of law. Yes, it's true that he can't legally fire Mueller. That job would normally go to the AG, in this case the Deputy AG (Rosenstein) since Sessions (supposedly) recused himself. But Trump will try to do it anyway; he doesn't care about the law, normal established processes, etc. We know he's already been considering it from the trial balloons he's floated. And yes, it's true that the universal reaction in Washington is "no you can't. No you don't.) But Trump is incapable of listening.
