MSNBC Host: "I'm not trying to say Donald Trump is a member of the mob, don't take it the wrong way"

Just now.

Was interviewing her guest (a former FBI special agent) and noticing the investigation is similar to the way the mob is investigated.

Then she tried to dial it back.

Donald Trump denies that he ever knew Robert LiButti, a reputed mob figure with a penchant for high-dollar gambling. LiButti was a regular at Trump’s Atlantic City casino until 1991, when he was banned from New Jersey gaming halls over his alleged ties to Mafia boss John Gotti.

“If he was standing here in front of me, I wouldn’t know what he looked like,” Trump told The Philadelphia Inquirer in 1991.

I've heard him say that, "I wouldn't know what he looked like". His default stance on associations with unsavory characters, as well as victims of his sexual assaults.

Flashback

Donald Trump has employed a known Asian organized crime figure at his Taj Mahal casino for five years and is defending him against attempts to yank his license, l

His affiliation with the Itallian group helped him take care of his union problems.. in NY

Little Nicky Scarfo and Phil helped him out in Atlantic City

Pretty sure the connections he had with the Bratva helped him out with his financial problems. That's where the road map gets tricky... $$$$$$$$

He's a frustrated "wannabe"... nothing more

reminded me of the excellent coverage from Wayne Barrett and Dave Cay Johnston about dRumpf's mob ties. The coverage spanned quite a few decades, and got a lot of renewed interest during the election.

One thing that struck me was Wayne or Dave saying that though d Rump did a lot of business with the ultra violent Scarfo and Testa family, he always sent emissaries. He never put himself into even the slightest bit of danger, though he struts around pretending he's a made man, constantly.

Things in that town went south once Harry 'The Hunchback' was taken out... All their rules went out the window after that. The kid Phil was the GTG for the Taj. America is getting just what they voted for... They really have no clue as to what they voted for...

It's a damn shame... but it is what it is... now

24. Trump is laundering Russian money. Just like UK banks did.

UK Guardian exposed it in the UK. I have no doubt that's what Trump's involved in:

"Britain’s high street banks processed nearly $740m from a vast money-laundering operation run by Russian criminals with links to the Russian government and the KGB, the Guardian can reveal.

HSBC, the Royal Bank of Scotland, Lloyds, Barclays and Coutts are among 17 banks based in the UK, or with branches here, that are facing questions over what they knew about the international scheme and why they did not turn away suspicious money transfers.

Documents seen by the Guardian show that at least $20bn appears to have been moved out of Russia during a four-year period between 2010 and 2014. The true figure could be $80bn, detectives believe.

One senior figure involved in the inquiry said the money from Russia was “obviously either stolen or with criminal origin.'"
