Robert Reich proves that in a large degree, we've become numb to much of Trump's bullshit

things have gotten to the point where so much has been revealed, so much is blindingly obvious, that only the next "big reveal" sparks outrage. THINK about this for a minute...he describes Trump as a "two-bit dictator surrounded by toadies" and my immediate reaction was "You're RIGHT...now tell me something I DON'T know."

It's the "new abnormal."

Last Monday, the White House invited reporters in to watch what was billed as a meeting of Trump’s Cabinet. After Trump spoke, he asked each of the Cabinet members around the table to briefly comment.

Their statements were what you might expect from toadies surrounding a two-bit dictator.

“We thank you for the opportunity and blessing to serve your agenda,” said Chief of Staff Reince Priebus. “Greatest privilege of my life, to serve as vice president to a president who’s keeping his word to the American people,” said Vice President Mike Pence. “You’ve set the exact right message,” said Attorney General Jeff Sessions, adding, “The response is fabulous around the country.”

When I was sworn in as Bill Clinton’s Secretary of Labor, I took an oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” I didn’t pledge loyalty to Bill Clinton, and I wouldn’t have participated in such a fawning display.

i.e. undesirable - such as NOT lying, NOT stealing, NOT cheating, NOT bullying

The damage that Trump has caused to our society and institutions is serious.

I've been seriously thinking over the weekend about tuning out. Just letting go of all of this and to stop trying to keep up with every development, every bit of breaking news.

I'm sick of hearing about crimes going on and on and nothing being done about except " investigations" and "committees". I'm sick of watching him pretending to be president and everyone going along with it. I'm stressed to the max and I don't want to do this anymore. I cannot imagine waking up Xmas morning with the previous six months before like the last 6.

If I hear breaking news one day and Putin is addressing the nation from the Oval? It would have happened anyway whether I was paying attn or not.
