Republicans tried to tie Ossoff to certain Democrats and progressives

One of them was House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. For some unknown reason, a lot of DUers are calling for her to step down from her leadership position because she was used in ads against Ossoff. Odd, huh?

Another one who appeared in those ads was Bernie Sanders, the Independent Senator from Vermont. I haven't seen anyone suggest that Bernie Sanders should step down. Odd, huh?

Here's the thing: Republicans are using those two and others in attempts to tie another Democrat to "Liberals." That's a strategy they have used for years in campaigns. Why do they pick certain Democrats to use in their ads? Because those Democrats or progressives are very effective in Congress. Those Democrats are a thorn in the side of Republicans. So, they want them gone.

The worst possible reason for Democrats to call for any prominent Democrat to step down is that the Republicans are using those Democrats as whipping boys in campaign ads. Instead, we should be celebrating those leaders for their contributions to progressive ideals. Those contributions are what made those people fodder for Republican ads.

I have an idea: Let's not follow the Republican line when that line is used to demonize those progressives and Democrats who have achieved success in Congress. What do you say?

step down are not on our side.

If they are on our side, they are not helping our cause.

I think we should fight back with reasonable arguments against such people, which is the reason for my post.
